- As shown by scientific studies, it is essential for the collagen to be hydrolyzed (i.e. broken down in smaller molecules/enzymatic digestion) because only the hydrolyzed form of collagen can stimulate the neo synthesis of the collagen matrix in the cartilaginous tissue.
